Ingredients List

Ingredients List
  • Flour: 3 cups, all-purpose flour for perfect cookie structure
  • Leavening Agents: 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp salt to help cookies rise
  • Butter: 2 sticks salted butter, softened at room temperature
  • Sweeteners: 1/2 cup sugar and 1 1/3 cup brown sugar for perfect sweetness
  • Flavor Enhancers: 1 Tbl vanilla extract for depth of flavor
  • Eggs: 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • Chocolate Chips: 12 oz semi-sweet chips for gooey chocolate goodness

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Dry Mixture: Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl
  2. Cream Base: Mix brown sugar, sugar, and softened butter until creamy and fluffy
  3. Wet Ingredients: Add eggs and vanilla to the creamed mixture, blend until smooth
  4. Combine: Gradually incorporate flour mixture into wet ingredients
  5. Add Chocolate: Mix in chocolate chips until evenly distributed
  6. Prepare Air Fryer: Line basket with foil and spray with oil
  7. Shape Cookies: Scoop dough and roll into balls, place in basket with spacing
  8. Air Fry: Cook at 300°F for 8 minutes
  9. Cool Down: Rest in basket for 5 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack
  10. Optional Thin Cookies: Press down warm cookies with spoon if desired

Air Fryer Tips

Making cookies in an air fryer is super fun and easy! The trick is to not overcrowd the basket – give those cookies plenty of space to spread. Your foil liner should be snug against the basket bottom to prevent any cookie dough from sneaking underneath. If you notice your first batch browns too quickly, drop the temperature by 10-15 degrees for the next round.

Cookie Style Options

Want to make these cookies your own? For extra-thick, soft cookies, keep the dough balls round. If you like them thin and crispy, gently press down on the warm cookies right after cooking. You can also try milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet, or mix in some chopped nuts for added crunch!

Storage Tips

These yummy cookies stay fresh in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Want to save some dough for later? Roll it into balls, freeze on a lined baking sheet until solid, then pop them in a freezer bag. They’ll keep for up to 3 months! When ready to bake, just add 1-2 minutes to the cooking time.

Serving Ideas

Grab these cookies while they’re still warm – they’re amazing with a cold glass of milk! For an extra-special treat, sandwich some vanilla ice cream between two cookies. Having friends over? Stack them on a pretty plate and dust with a tiny bit of sea salt to bring out the chocolate flavor.
