Ingredients
- Frozen Chicken Wings: 1-2 pounds, choose your preferred quantity for a perfect meal.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preparation: Take out frozen wings from the freezer bag and sort through them to ensure quality pieces.
- Loading: Place wings directly into your air fryer basket or tray – no oil needed!
- Initial Cooking: Set your air fryer to 380°F/193°C and cook for the first 15 minutes.
- Mid-Cook Adjustment: At the 15-minute mark, either flip wings (for air fryer oven) or shake basket (for basket-style air fryer).
- Complete Cooking: Continue cooking for remaining 15 minutes until done. For extra crispy results, increase temperature to 400°F.
- Final Touch: Transfer wings to a serving plate and customize with your favorite sauce or simple salt and pepper seasoning.
Sauce Ideas
These wings make the perfect blank canvas for your favorite sauces! Try classic buffalo sauce for that spicy kick, honey garlic for something sweet and sticky, or lemon pepper for a zesty dry rub. You can toss the wings in sauce right after cooking while they’re still hot, or serve sauces on the side for dipping. Some tasty sauce options are:
- BBQ sauce
- Ranch seasoning
- Teriyaki sauce
- Garlic parmesan
- Sweet chili sauce
Making Them Extra Crispy
Want that amazing restaurant-style crunch? Here’s a simple trick: after the first 30 minutes of cooking, bump up your air fryer temperature to 400°F and cook for an extra 3-5 minutes. Keep a close eye on them during this final blast of heat – you’re looking for that golden-brown color without burning. The outside will get super crispy while keeping all the juicy goodness inside!
Storing & Reheating
If you have any leftover wings (which doesn’t happen often!), store them in an airtight container in your fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-6 minutes until they’re hot and crispy again. The air fryer works much better than the microwave for keeping that crispy texture you love!
What to Serve With Wings
Make your wing feast complete with some tasty sides! Celery and carrot sticks are classic choices that add a fresh crunch. Add your favorite dipping sauces like blue cheese or ranch dressing. For a full meal, try serving with:
- French fries or sweet potato fries
- Coleslaw
- Garden salad
- Onion rings
- Potato wedges
