Ingredients

Ingredients
  • Sausage Links (6): Choose your favorite variety for the perfect savory base
  • Maple Syrup (2 tbsp): Adds a delightful sweet glaze to the wrap
  • Crescent Rolls (2): Creates a flaky, golden spiral around the sausage
  • Skewers: One for each sausage link
  • Cooking Spray: For preventing sticking in the air fryer

Instructions

  1. Prep Sausages: Insert one skewer into each sausage link carefully
  2. Prepare Dough: Flatten crescent rolls and cut into thin strips. Combine shorter pieces if needed
  3. Add Sweetness: Brush maple syrup over the crescent strips using a basting brush
  4. Wrap it Up: Spiral each crescent strip diagonally around the sausage skewers
  5. Air Fryer Prep: Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray or line with parchment paper
  6. Cook: Air fry at 375°F for 7-9 minutes, checking at 7 minutes for desired golden-brown color
  7. Serve: Enjoy these delicious skewers right away while they’re hot and crispy

Cooking Techniques

Getting those perfect spiral wraps might take a little practice, but don’t worry! Try holding your sausage skewer at a slight angle while wrapping the dough – this helps create those pretty diagonal lines. If your crescent dough strips break, just piece them together as you wrap. The maple syrup acts like glue and adds amazing flavor!

Variations & Substitutions

Want to mix things up? Try different sausage flavors like spicy Italian or chicken apple! No maple syrup? Honey works great too. You can also add fun toppings before air frying – a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning or some grated parmesan cheese adds extra yummy flavor. If you’re out of crescent rolls, pizza dough cut into strips works just as well.

Serving Suggestions

These sausage skewers are perfect for breakfast or brunch! Serve them with extra maple syrup for dipping, or make a quick honey mustard sauce. They’re super fun for kids’ parties or game day snacks. Want to make it a meal? Add some scrambled eggs and fresh fruit on the side. For an extra special touch, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top right before serving!

Storage Tips

These tasty skewers are best eaten fresh and hot from the air fryer. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. To reheat, pop them back in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes at 350°F – they’ll crisp right up! Just remember to remove the wooden skewers before storing if you plan to microwave them later.
